Alison Noble consultant for IMO course
Alison Noble, who teaches Maritime English at the Antwerp Maritime Academy, was appointed external Consultant for the recent IMO MEITC (Maritime English Instructor Training Course) held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, from 29th August to 2nd September.
The course is organized under the auspices of IMO Technical Cooperation “to assist countries in building up their human and institutional capacities for uniform and effective compliance with the Organization’s regulatory framework”. The course in Côte d’Ivoire brought together a total of 18 participants – mostly Maritime English instructors - from Francophone Western and Central Africa.
The lead consultant for the course was Prof. Clive Cole of World Maritime University, Malmö, Sweden. The photograph shows Clive Cole and Alison Noble with participants from Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Senegal, Morocco, Cameroon and D.R. Congo.
