Good job, Arne!
We are proud to announce that HZS graduate Arne Good (4th from the right on the picture) won the Graduate Research Award at the European Marine Engineering Awards!
During his Marine Engineering training at the HZS, Arne was one the key figures of our Solar Boat project! His goal was to explore hull design and efficient electronics to develop an efficient hull and electric propulsion. At the moment he is working at DEME.
Shortlist nominees Graduate Research Award
- Arne Good, nominated by Antwerp Maritime Academy, for his work on efficient hull design and electric propulsion
- Dr Sunghan Kim, nominated posthumously by Southampton University, for his study of the effects of vortex induced vibrations on long cables
- Dr Ibna Zaman, nominated by Newcastle University, for his research into Auto-Mode detection
